  • Curve Studios Reaffirms Wii U Support; Tease New Wii U Title

    Shawn Long
    21 Dec 2014 | 2:31 pm
Much like WayForward, Curve Studios has been a beacon of high quality indie games for the Wii U as of late. With games like Stealth Inc 2, Thomas Was Alone, and many more, Curve Studios has put themselves at the forefront on “Nindies” for the system. In a recent interview, Curve Studios confirmed Wii U support will continue in 2015, and even teased a new title for the console. Next year we’re planning to release at least six more of those games, and we hope to bring as many of those as possible to the Wii U. Some of these will be ports, and others will be brand new releases…

    21 Dec 2014 | 11:38 am
Platinum Games continues to update their blog, giving insight on the development of their games. Today’s update is from Mai Okura, the conceptual designer for Bayonetta 2. “Hello, my name is Mai Okura, I was the conceptual designer for Bayonetta 2. For the previous game, I was in my first year working at Platinum and in charge of its user interface (maps, menus, gauges, etc.). I remember giving then-producer now-director Hashimoto a lot of stress, so it was a bit of a surprise he let me back on his team. Those two games really mean a lot to me. But anyway. You’re probably still…

If the gaming world as a whole has to give Nintendo credit on one thing, it’s the fact that they are doing DLC right. Mario Kart 8 and Hyrule Warriors both have had DLC, and the value you pay vs. what you receive is always in the consumers favor. Nintendo is releasing Hyrule Warriors costume DLC packs, and a lot of people feared that the price would be similar to how fighting games like Street Fighter micro-transaction for each costume. #HyruleWarriors #DLC costume set are available in european #eShop @GoNintendoTweet @NinEverything @koeitecmoeurope pic.twitter.com/jaUChhvIzz —…
  • More Evidence Towards Cheaper Price For Kirby And The Rainbow Curse

    Jonathan Harrington
    20 Dec 2014 | 5:50 pm
A lower price in Japan for Kirby’s upcoming Wii U title Kirby and the Rainbow Curse has already been confirmed, and now we’re getting more evidence that it will follow suit in western territories. Recent listings by EB Games and Amazon Canada both showed the game at just $45 – the same price as Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker in that region, so like Captain Toad it would likely be five dollars cheaper in the states. Both listings suddenly saying the same thing seems to indicate that this will be the final price – or at least close to it. We’re still waiting for…

When I wrote about picking the Wii U over the PS4 and Xbox One, I pointed out that most Third Party games are multiplatform, including PC. This meant that even though PS4 and Xbox One get third party games, basing your decision off them is pretty much useless. 17 Dec 2014 | 4:35 am
Online pre-orders for the Target exclusive Rosalina & Luma amiibo were cut short earlier today, closing a mere 40 minutes after they opened. Target launched it’s online pre-orders today at approximately 05:30 (ET) and by 06:10 (ET) they were once again closed. The product page’s pre-order button then returned to it’s inactive greyed-out state. • Rosalina & Luma amiibo now available to Pre-order from Target

    Jack Parsons
    17 Dec 2014 | 3:17 am
The retail exclusive Rosalina & Luma amiibo is now available to pre-order from Target in North America. Back in November we did a bit of research to find out which retailer would get the exclusive deal for the Rosalina amiibo figure. We came to the conclusion that it would be Target and looks like we were right! Target have opened up the Rosalina amiibo pre-orders, meaning that US fans can now reserve their very own exclusive wave 3 figure. It’s more than likely that Rosalina will fly off the shelves and with no limit on the amount, scalpers will be having a field day.
