Outside of a few connection drops here and there, it ran wonderfully. However, we can’t accurately review the game without playing it on public servers, so we will update the review with a score (and maybe a few text updates) when we test the final game. To sum up: if this works, it’ll be radical, but as of now, we have no idea if it’ll work on launch day. Read more...

Under direction of a newly formed team at Nintendo, Splatoon is the kind of product we have been looking for from the Kyoto company for awhile. It’s a new IP dipping into new territories, and combining them with the kind of Nintendo feel we are all familiar with. While other Nintendo titles have online multiplayer aspects, Splatoon is Nintendo’s first title that is almost completely centered around online gameplay. This means if you don’t have a good connection, much of the game’s enjoyment will be lost. The squid-skate-punk culture Nintendo has crafted for Splatoon drives home the…

  • Splatoon Review for Wii U – Shooting Done Nintendo Style

    Shawn Long
    27 May 2015 | 7:00 am
Splatoon is one of Nintendo’s most ambitious games ever. Nintendo has never been known for being masters of online gaming, but Splatoon looks to break that image by offering online competitive shooting on Nintendo’s home console. So does Nintendo hit the mark set by other shooting games or is Splatoon an entity of its own in the shooting genre? Splatoon has you taking the role of a “kid” who can turn into a “squid”. You don’t use bullets in Splatoon, instead using ink to cover areas or take down your opposition. The shooting genre usually focuses…

    27 May 2015 | 6:51 am
Project CARS has had a tumultuous series of events with the Wii U version of the game. Slightly Mad Studios has all but cancelled the Wii U version, which is leaving a very sour taste for some gamers. One of the questions about the Wii U version is the funding that was given towards the game initially, and how Wii U owners helped with that funding. Slightly Mad Studios released a statement on that matter today: Project CARS/Weapons of Mass Development opened funding initially as a Free to Play PC only Racing game. This is when the bulk of the funding arrived. Funding was closed late 2013. By…

That’s right: You’ve blown our expectations so far out of the water that we’re ready and able to get started on a Wii U version. During the campaign all of us who’ve been working to make Bloodstained a reality have been really touched by how many of…

According to a recent tweet from Damon Baker, of Nintendo, the company tried very hard to make the Humble Bundle a global bundle. Unfortunately, after months of trying, the company had to opt for it being North American only. According to a new statement from Target, the company has banned the purchasing of amiibo by resellers. Unfortunately, Target has no true way to enforce this policy; however, the company will utilize buying limits to prevent scalpers from purchasing excessive numbers of amiibo.
