Sportsball is as much a party game as it is a sports one.  It’s described by the developers as “soccer, jousting, and flying birds”, and that’s a spot on synopsis.  Read on as I expound on the game’s specifics, and explain why I think it’s a must for multiplayer fans. With four teams, sixteen unique birds, ten stadiums, and many modes, content isn’t in short supply … when playing with friends anyway.  I’ll elaborate on that in a bit. Customization allows you to tailor the experience to your liking also, with over ten different options.  With both competitive and…

World Of Keflings is a sequel to the PC title, Kingdom for Keflings. The game tasks your Mii, a giant, to help build kingdoms so its Kefling citizens can prosper. You and your Kefling friend will need to collect raw materials necessary to expand the population. You’ll need to manage how the Keflings interact with their environment by giving them jobs such as miner, lumberjacks, and transporter. The longer they are working, the more they level up (but only to a maximum of level five). The world in World of Keflings is charming. The Keflings who inhabit the world have their own little quarks,…

“A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.” These days, with the advent of the always connected console, Shigeru Miyamoto’s quote may not ring quite as true; but for my money, I certainly wish it still was. Just this last month I have been burned by numerous titles, that had they been released only a decade ago, would have been deemed broken and unplayable. Mind you, these aren’t just your run of the mill shovelware or children’s titles put out to make a quick buck. I’m talking big budget AAA games made by some of the biggest…

All this brings us to an enormously debated question: Where does Majora’s Mask sit in the Zelda hierarchy? Is it truly a brilliant masterpiece, misunderstood by some but revered by others, full of unique twists, innovative storylines and refreshing characters? Or is it an overrated misstep, a…

Amiibo are pretty awesome little figures. The ability to turn figurines into Smash Bros. fighters that can learn from your own moves is just a plain cool idea, and the way they work across multiple games has the potential to be something pretty sweet. Three waves of Amiibo have been announced so far, each with increasingly niche characters, which of course means that more people get interactive figures of their favorites. Unfortunately, it’s becoming increasingly clear that some of these will be retailer exclusive. First was the announcement that Gamestop would be the only place that…

One of the joys of the indie game community is the release of games that hearken back to the old days. These games are great not only because of this, but because they take simple concepts and make them challenging while still employing modern techniques. • Mewtwo also available in Super Smash Bros as paid DLC

    Jack Parsons
    20 Nov 2014 | 1:26 pm
Nintendo of Europe have revealed that Super Smash Bros character Mewtwo will also be available to purchase as DLC in future. This is in addition to the previously announced Club Nintendo promotion. Up until now, Mewtwo’s availability had only been confirmed as part of a Club Nintendo promotion. Registering both Super Smash Bros for 3DS and Super Smash Bros for Wii U on Club Nintendo would reward the user with two Mewtwo DLC codes (3DS & Wii U) and a Super Smash Bros Soundtrack CD. Revealed in one of Nintendo of Europe’s announcement tweets, the paid DLC option has also…

Simple deduction suggests that the Rosalina amiibo will be a Target exclusive in the US. The Rosalina figure will be the final wave 3 amiibo to have it’s availability revealed in North America. Nintendo announced on the 10th November that some of their retail partners would be releasing a number of amiibo as exclusive figures. Listed on the amiibo section of Nintendo’s website, their retail partners are:  Amazon.com, GameStop, Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and Toys “R” Us. All wave 1 and wave 2 amiibo are currently available at all retail partners, leaving only the…

The Meta Knight amiibo has been revealed to be a Best Buy exclusive amiibo figure in the US. The news was revealed through a Smash Bros / amiibo news post on Best Buy’s corporate website. • Watch Dogs launches on Nintendo Wii U with 2 DLC Packs

    Jack Parsons
    19 Nov 2014 | 9:20 am
Ubisoft’s latest title “Watch Dogs” launched yesterday in North America, for Nintendo Wii U at least. Coming in around 6 months later than the other console releases, the Wii U version of Watch Dogs will take advantage of Nintendo’s GamePad to offer additional features. In Watch Dogs, the Wii U GamePad can be used to either display an interactive map of Chicago or switch to Off-TV play. Player’s will also be able to set way-points and control the map’s zoom level using the touch screen. Set in (you guessed it) Chicago, Watch Dog focuses around Aiden…
