Below is a quote from a Famitsu interview with Masahiro Sakurai translated by Siliconera “It’s basically due to the 3DS’ limitations,” said Sakurai, when asked why Zelda and Sheik, and Samus and Zerosuit Samus, are different characters. “It was impossible to have both characters exist together [as one] on 3DS. However, reaching that limit can sometimes lead in good directions. Transforming characters had the drawback of ambiguous tactics and such, and I believe that they have become more fresh now." An update that I feel is long overdue for the Wii U is now available. It adds the ability to create folders on the home screen, where you can store the games and apps downloaded to your system. This is a function the Nintendo 3DS has had for a while, hence my opinion that Nintendo has been a little slow on getting the Wii U equivalent up and running. Oh well. It’s here now. And at least the folders display the whole name you choose for them, as opposed to the first letter only. Hooray. What are your thoughts?

Curve Studios has now revealed that the game will make its arrival on the Nintendo eShop this November for $9.99 alongside the PS4 and Xbox One. Lead developer Mike Bithell describes Thomas Was Alone as a “minimalist game about friendship and jumping and floating and bouncing and anti-gravity”. Sounds fun, doesn’t it? • Sakurai Says Sheik and Zelda Were Separate Characters Due to 3DS Limitations

    Jelani Thompson
    1 Oct 2014 | 8:45 am
In a recent interview with Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, Masahiro Sakurai revealed that Sheik and Zelda would be separate characters in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS due to 3DS hardware limitations. “It’s basically due to the 3DS’ limitations. It was impossible to have both characters exist together [as one] on 3DS. However, reaching that limit can sometimes lead in good directions. Transforming characters had the drawback of ambiguous tactics and such, and I believe that they have become more fresh now.” This is also the reason Samus and Zero Suit Samus / Charizard and the…
  • Yumi’s Odd Odyssey Review (3DS eShop)

    30 Sep 2014 | 3:42 pm
Admittedly, I’m going to have a hard time reviewing Yumi’s Odd Odyssey. It’s not that the game’s particularly bad or anything, it just has a lot to do with a game that came out twenty years ago, one that I’m sure almost nobody has ever heard of unless you’re into video game sadism. Umihara Kawase for the Super Famicom was an oddity when it released back in 1994, and that much hasn’t really changed. It’s a bizarre fish-themed puzzle platformer mixed with some ’90s era Japanese scenery and–oh, wait–I should probably mention that…

Check the video out here; If you’ve ever had a hard time understanding how to double jump, hopefully this video explained to you how to use this ability. • Nintendo confirm Australian New Nintendo 3DS will play UK / PAL games

    1 Oct 2014 | 3:00 am
Nintendo recently announced that the New 3DS would be available in Australia on the 21st November 2014, with European and American fans having to wait until 2015. Although the New 3DS will be region-locked, there is some light at the end of the tunnel for people planning to import the new handheld. Due to Australia being classed as a PAL region, in theory the new handheld should be able to play 3DS games from any other PAL region. I decided to contact Nintendo UK to verify this, by asking if an imported Australian New 3DS (PAL) would be compatible with UK 3DS games (PAL). I received the…
